Can reversible microscopic dynamics produce an apparently irreversible macroscopic story?
What to notice
Every microscopic update is reversible, yet the coarse description rapidly looks disordered. Because the system is finite and deterministic, the exact state later recurs.
Everyday analogy. A carefully recorded sequence of card shuffles can be undone exactly. But if you only watch how “mixed” the deck looks, the story seems to move one way—from ordered to disordered.
